Midway's Football teams are based on grade, not age.

See below for the grade and age categories for Football registration (This is NOT for Cheer):
Grade
K & 1st Grade and 7 or younger on August 31 (must be 5 by August 31 to play)
2nd Grade and 8 or younger on August 31
3rd Grade and 9 or younger on August 31
4th Grade and 10 or younger on August 31
5th Grade and 11 or younger on August 31
6th Grade and 12 or younger on August 31
7th Grade and 13 or younger on August 31
Grades are based on the 2023-24 school year. Ages are only listed to indicate the maximum age of a player. A player cannot play down even if he meets the age requirement for the grade below him. If the player is over the age limit for their grade, they must play up to the next grade. A player will be allowed to play up one grade level. This change will have an affect on a small number of kids, but in most cases it will allow kids who are older than their classmates to play down with their classmates.
Football:
Registration fee includes two game jerseys (home and away), game pants, helmet, and shoulder pads. You get to keep the custom jerseys. The helmets and shoulder pads are to be returned at the end of the season. If they are not returned, you will be charged a non-return fee, which is the deposit you provided at equipment fittings. Football cleats, practice pants, mouthpiece and practice jerseys are not provided by the park.
There will be 2 scheduled fitting dates for equipment and uniforms. Players must attend one of these.
Cheerleading:
Registration fee includes: FCYFA insurance, warm-up, practice shirt, shoes, game-day bow, bloomers, poms and uniforms, and several events including Cheer and Chant Clinic and Pep Rally. Participants MUST attend 1 of 3 fittings: Look to the Cheerleading Pages for more details.
All Football players and cheerleaders are required to provide a completed physical form and birth certificate copy to their coach PRIOR to or the first day of practice. No exceptions will be made to this policy. NO PHYSICAL = NO PLAY or NO CHEERING. Physical forms are located under the "Online Forms" link under the information page tab. The completed physical must be dated after 1/1/23.
By completing the online registration form, you are agreeing to the Midway Wolverines refund policy, which is stated below:
Football Player Refund Policy:
Prior to evaluations: 50% of the registration amount
After evaluations: No Refunds!
Cheerleader Refund Policy:
No refunds after registration (both online and onsite registration apply)
Payment Plan Policy:
During registration, if you choose the payment plan option, you must pay $200 initial deposit and follow the scheduled payment plan.

*$150 due on 15 Mar 2023
*$balance owed NLT 15 Apr 2023
Once Late Registration begins, there will be NO PAYMENT PLANS. Payment will be due in full at the time of registration. If you are on a payment plan and have not paid in full at the time of late registration, you will be assessed the late fee and you will be responsible for paying the full $475 for late registration.
You will be sent communications regularly by the Midway Board about registration payments if you still owe money.
